If you are, or will be, selling a digital product through Clickbank.com you need to be aware of their refund policy.

Clickbank requires a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all the products sold through their system.  This means that customers who download your digital ebooks can read them and then ask for a refund.  This of course, opens the door to dishonest people.  However, you should understand that in the digital world, this is simply how it works.

The fact is that Clickbank is not being unreasonable in their policy simply because the credit card companies have the same policy.  Digital products purchased without a signature are not protected by charge-backs.  Credit card holders can simply do a charge-back to get their money back and credit card companies will issue it and charge you a fee for doing so. So charge-backs cost more money to the merchant than refunds do.   Since Clickbank provides the payment system, they are simply abiding by the rules forced on them.

Today’s  Online Marketing Course Is:  How To Issue A Paypal Refund

If you have taken a payment from a customer through Paypal, and need to refund them, be sure to do it correctly.  If you don’t, you can being putting yourself at risk and costing both you and customer money.

Do not just send the money back through the send feature at Paypal. Doing it this way will cost your customer money as Paypal will deduct their fee from the exchange and you customer will not receive a full refund.

Additionally, doing it this way can put you at risk, because their is not proof that you issued a refund.  By using their refund feature, the customer can not continue to request a refund and it will not cost either of you anymore money.  In fact when you use the refund feature, Paypal actually refunds your original fees for excepting the transaction in the first place.
